Laura was born, and she becomes the fourth wonderful addition to the Scheibmeir Family. I would normally consider this post more within my Personal Work. My family stopped to visit the Scheibmeir Family, in Sacramento, in our way to our family vacation in Lake Tahoe. This is the first time I ever shoot, exclusively film, a family, other than mine. That's how dear they are to me!!! I had no digital back-up, and I couldn't be happier with these images. I thought they deserved to be blogged. Like, I told my friend, they are so imperfectly perfect! That's the beauty of film. Dad is not in the pictures, because he was working. But I will come back to get John in the pictures next time!

Sophia Marie Birth Story | Birth Photography
As we start a new Spring season, my favorite time of the year, I thought it was appropriate to make a blog post about a birth story. A couple of months ago I had the opportunity to photograph my first birth story. How privileged I felt to be there to witness the miracle of life! When I saw Sophia Marie being born, I couldn't help but have tears of happiness in my eyes; and that small birthing room, was overflowing with JOY! I am so happy I was able to document her birth for her parents, as those moments will never repeat themselves: the wait, the first time they saw her, the first snuggle, oh so precious!

Baby Daniel | Newborn Photography
Baby Daniel was welcomed to the world by his two adoring parents and big sister Sophia. Their home was warm and filled with beautiful light, and their photographs were a reflexion of those elements. I am so honored to had been able to walk into their house and document, for a few hours, what it was like to be the parents of a precious baby boy. Baby Daniel, you are SO loved.

Grace Pacey | Toronto Family Photography
Today I took pictures of a family very dear to my heart: my brother and sister-in-law, and their brand new baby Grace Pacey.
Ever since I knew my sister-in-law, Laura, was pregnant and due in December, I longed for the day I could take pictures of her newborn baby. They are only that little for so long. The fact that this was our year to spend Christmas in Canada (we alternate every year between Canada and Panama), made it just perfect.
I am so happy to have had not only witnessed, Jason and Laura fall in love and get married, but to also see them cuddle and snuggle with their 17 day-old daughter.
Take a look at some of the pictures from today's shoot. And remember to leave them some love comments at the end.
