Aquarium Light | Personal Photography

Last Friday was the last day of vacation for my son, Dominic, before he started Junior Kindergarten. I decided I wanted to do something fun with him before he started classes, so we ventured to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. What an amazing day that was!

I am so over the top thankful for being able to do what I do. I tell everyone that being able to stay home with my boys is a privilege. A lot of work, but a privilege. And in addition to that, being able to take pictures along the way, it's just the cherry on top of my sundae!

Caleb & Jamie | Santa Cruz Engagement Session

My brother in law, who is visiting from Canada, stopped by my new home office on his way to bed tonight, and asked me: "Do you still like what you do? Or is it work?", to that I said: " I love what I do, I wish I could do it everyday, all day!!!". That's how I felt when I took pictures of this amazing couple. That's how I felt when I processed these images. Happiness is what I felt when I showed them the images for the first time. 

Caleb, Jamie and I just clicked from the first moment we met. They are such a cool, laid back, up for anything couple. I just like hanging out with them. You know that type of people you just want to be friends with. Not only they are an awesome couple, but you can see how much they love each other. Tutus & Butterflies | Children Photography

A couple of months ago, I woke up with an idea. I pictured lots of girls in tutus, playing together, and lots of beautiful light. So I decided to put together my first styled shoot.  Some of you might think this was the inner me wishing I had a girl to play with. But that's what friends are for! I contacted a bunch of friends, and asked if they could help me put together a styled photo shoot. And they were there for me! 

It was hard for me to decide where the photo shoot would take place, but I realized I had the most beautiful light in my living room during the mornings;  so I transformed my living room in the stage for my girly butterfly theme party. My mom, who is visiting, is the most crafty person I have ever met. We both stayed until late at night, clearing my living room, and setting up for the party. We made treats, and used flowers from my garden to decorate. And VOILA!
